I came to know that a research is being conducted on how to deliver ultra fast 5G broadband for the smartphone users using the software defined cellular networking. My question is if this 5G broadband is implemented then can a HD movie be downloaded within half an hour. Is 10Gbps internet speed possible using 5G networks?
I guess there are several countries now that are developing the 5G broadband internet. The United Kingdom Prime Minister David Cameron said that Britain will get 5G internet and this is under a major deal with Germany. So fast that internet users will be able to download a movie in less than a second.
The Prime Minister also announced the £73 million plan to develop the Internet of Things while speaking at a hi-tech summit in Germany. The Internet of Things will allow billions of everyday objects to communicate with each other on the internet. This deal between Germany and Britain was sealed in Hanover at the CeBIT 2014 trade fair.
South Korea is also expected to roll out 5G in the next 2 years. 5G lets a user download an 800 MB movie file in just a second.
