Hello all!

I'm contemplating rooting my galaxy nexus and am looking for pros and cons as well as specific answers.

1. If I were to root, would i be able to travel internationally with use of my phone for voice, data and text with no charges from my mobile carrier?

2. Will I be able to download paid apps, games, books etc for free?

I am looking forward to answers :) oh yes, i've already downloaded the wugfresh unlock kit to my computer but am having problems downloading and installing the driver software for my nexus.
