My yahoo messenger doesn't display any IM...I cant even view my offline messages. I have followed the instructions to troubleshoot it and reinstalled yahoo updated messenger. But it still doesn't work. Please tell me, what to do?

My pendrive is infected by virus. I cannot format, cannot copy anything. When I try to format or copy, it says, format cannot be possible for write protected disc. Now, I don't understand, how to remove write protection from my pendrive?
