Can anyone please help me regarding the OS Windows 7 ultimate defender please? A virus has already disabled the windows firewall along with the defender. Viruses were scanned so far with AVG and ESET; but what happens is that after removing some Trojans they exhibit that the computer is secured of viruses. The Windows Malicious Software Removal tool also informs me the same and thus I could start the BFE service after its addition to the registry so far without any hazards. The problem is here; when I try to start the Windows Firewall, it shows me an error saying that the Windows Firewall can be started on this computer. After querying the Windows Firewall service I got the error as its consequence (Error 1060). Please help me here.

Hello,

I cannot use my computer until I repair a missing hal.dll file. Do I have to restore the computer back to factory settings? It keeps on saying that the windows root system 32 hal.dll is missing or corrupt. What is the solution to this?
