I installed NiftyPerforce with a 64bit version of Windows running VS 2010. This thing leads to the following message. Is it possible that the system does not support the program? What should I do?

I tried playing a game and I the middle of the games the following message: “Running steam in windows compatibility mode is not recommended. Please remove any windows compatibility settings for all users under file properties for steam.exe and restart steam.” Is it possible that I have to remove the windows compatibility settings?
