Windows OS
Hello! I just want to know how to manually disable CHKDSK from running upon startup? I know this command scan and repair my hard drive for any possible errors. But this is totally disturbing if it stuck whenever I open my computer. I never been delinquent when in terms of taking care of my personal things, my computer never had any problem for the past years. Although sometimes some of my programs hangs without knowing what causing it to stop. But I do manual scanning for viruses each and every time. I open my computer, so I don't really know what's interrupting my system to run like this. I never had any computer crashes moment and all my softwares and drivers are up to date.

Hi,
I made a fresh install of my operating system due to a conflict on my antivirus and my internet connection. I could not figure out what the problem is and there are lot of errors on my computer so I made a clean install.
I am running a Windows 7 Ultimate x64, with 320 GB Hard Disk and 2 GB of RAM. I have a partition before but intended to delete the other partition to lessen the errors I am receiving. After the installation, I installed the applications, software’s, messenger and browser needed. But an error appeared upon opening an application I recently downloaded.

I encountered this issue when I finished rebooting the computer.
The old operating system that has been installed was Windows 98, and I installed a new Windows XP but when I start the computer after rebooting the computer, the flash message on the screen remains as "Missing operating system" .
I checked the boot devices, and it is placed correctly. I restarted the computer again but still the issue came out. I reinstalled the operating system, and it normally run, and loads the OS. Turned the computer on and waited for a couple of minutes, but then again the issue still lingers.
Can anyone help me with this?

Last night, I was so busy doing some research for my research study when my PC rebooted and restarted by its own. It was almost done in the booting process when it hanged-up and the following error:
Windows could not start because the following file is missing or corrupt: /windows/system32/config/system
You can attempt to repair this file by starting Windows Setup using the original Setup CD-ROM
Select 'r' at the first screen to start repair.

Thanks for your technical assistance. I got this error message “Error loading C:WINDOWSSystem32NvCpl.dll” every time I started my PC. This kind of error usually happened at the end of the booting process. My uncle who has a background on computer troubleshooting, cleaned and repaired the operating system through the Tune Up Registry Cleaner but the similar message error had been displaying.
A day before this problem occurred, I had upgraded the RAM or the internal memory my PC from 128 MB to 256 MB. Was the upgrade of the RAM the main cause of the problem? How can I fix it? The operating system that is installed in my PC is Windows ME.
Any solution would be appreciated. Thanks.
