Hi,
I’m running a third party MSI (Infragistics NetAdvantage 2005 CLR 2.0); which worked in my XP; on my computer and it freezes when it gets to the end of the progress bar. After how many minutes a message appears “Windows Installer is not responding”, and I have to manually stop the process.
When I ran the MSI with the command-line for verbose logging and flushing to disk, the last thing it logs is error 1607 - “The component identifier is not registered ”. Does anyone knows how to make it work? Please. Computer details: Win 2000 SP4, Win Installer 3.1 v2, Visual Studio.net 2005.

ERRO_UNKNOWN_FEATURE 1606 The feature identifier is not registered.
Printer won’t install, Error 1606 could not access network location %APPDATA%\. I cannot install any Microsoft updates; I can't install a printer that I once had installed. I reinstalled the OS a month ago and have been trying to add the programs I once ran on here with no issues but nothing will install and the error appears.
What is wrong with my installation?

I am installing Turbo Tax and get Error Code1601: Windows installer is not accessible. Installation can't continue because the Windows Installer could not be accessed.
I have tried the solutions available in support.microsoft.com but nothing works.

I was attempting to repair my Microsoft Office installation when I got this error message: Out of disk space -- Volume: 'C'; required 268375 KB; available space: 173160 KB. I tried rolling back but still needs space. I have tried cleaning the temporary files used by the internet and the shortcuts in the recent folders to make space.
What should I do?

I run Split second but got this error. I followed its instruction and re installed it but to no avail same error meets me. I have tried cleaning the registry but no luck at all. What do I do now?

I have this RechnungGEZ.pdf in my documents. I was cleaning my documents and deleting files that are not important. But before deleting them I open them and check if the contents are important or not.
I am not the only one who uses this computer so when I had this file opened an error message showed up. I research what it is and the first thing I read is it is a Trojan.
How do I remove it properly that it doesn’t leave any harmful files?

GARUDA just had an error when I started it. I have this error before and what I did was re install the game. It was fixed. Now I have the error again.
How do I fix this so that it wouldn’t happen again?

I have a newly bought HP laptop that has a 15-month subscription of Norton Antivirus. The instructions to set up the Norton Antivirus did not match with the installation options and I only have the option to set up the 60-day trial. There is no window to enter the product key.
If the 60-day trial period is over, can I just enter the product key of my 15-month subscription when the window to enter it appears or do I have to uninstall the trial version before I can continue to set up Norton Antivirus with subscription?
