Inquiring about difference for a physx developer 3ds max software versus opengl C++? What are the differences when using physx in opengl versus 3ds max, I have used opengl but not 3ds max.

I'm new to architectural drawing on mac and require a program that's fairly simple to use. I'd like the software to be able to produce reasonably high quality drawings and illustrations. Is it possible to find something that is free to use or am I better off paying for quality?

I'd like to from vb save clipboard to tif and have found some VB code to retrieve the clipboard (Clipboard.GetData) and SavePicture which saves it as a bmp file, and then I can create a New Bitmap to load the bmp file and use its Save method to save into any format I like. However I don't want to save it to disk as a .bmp file first, is there a way to store the .bmp file in memory and access the Save method of the Bitmap class?
