Hello friends,

I am writing a program in java. The screenshot of the program is as follows:

The method append (string) is undefined for the JTextFeild

The method append (string) is undefined for the JTextFeild

As you can see above I get a red line under "append". Why is that so? I have observed that I always get it, when I use a jtext field. When I use the jtext area instead of the field, it is resolved.

Why is this so? Can anyone please guide me how to get rid of this error?

I am basically a java programmer and I have been working on a code to convert kilograms to pounds for the last few days. I have written the following code successfully:

There is something wrong in my code, which I am not able to detect. My program was in the jdk bin and I have a path set to a folder in my documents.

Hello guys,

I am using netbeans to refer to integrated development environment (IDE) for developing with java. I have installed the version 7 of IDE but before that I was using the 6.9 version which was running perfectly fine. The version 7 of IDE results in more frequent errors than version 6.9. I don’t know why but I keep on getting the following error message on my screen:

Cannot recover after last error. Any further errors will be ignored.

Hi,

In the previous day I had done updating (all thing but the kernel) of my fedora 9. Right now I got to see that the updating some java type broke down. I started ny notes and tried to connect to the domino server(pop up when new mail comes) after that got crashed.

In dmesg I got: notes2w[3298]: segfault at 0 ip 001a4fe5 sp bfa3ea60 error 6 in libj9prt23.so[195000+21000]

How could it be possible to debug this? Could someone from the enterprise of java help me out to solve it? I usually update once or twice in a week.

Hi,

I am trying to make a photo booth app but I can't seem to figure it out. I am trying to allow the app to have access to webcams in the local vicinity, gain the frame and then show it to the user after a special effect has been added to it.

I used Jpanel & swing components to make the app; however, my client is asking the app to be run in the browser.  There is an access error when I use the applet to access the webcam. I am aware I need to sign the applet, even after doing this it won't work.

This morning, I am getting this error message when I’m trying to install a program (I attached the image below). What exactly is this JRE missing mean? Can any experts provide an answer for me. I’m curious to know more about it.

Whew, I am already sick and tired of the errors I have met in updating. It would just hang when it reaches 3% of the update. An error message would then appear: “ERROR: Java Error - Context: HD Tele ConfiguratorName = 1 Parameters: java.lang.NullPointerException”. I can’t figure out why this has come up. I also have tried doing it again but the error would just not disappear. Can you please help me with this? I mean, I am really counting to those who would share their expertise about this problem. Are there other ways to have it updated and avoiding this tiring error? I totally have no idea how to fix this and you might just be the person who can help me with this. Thanks a lot.

I've been having this problem a couple of times now. The .exe I'm trying to open up is a Shimeji and it had worked perfectly fine in a previous version of Java. But now, every time I try to open it, another window flashes up and I assume that it's trying to get me to update to a new version of Java since it opens up my browser with a Japanese version of the website whenever I click the "yes" button. My question is if the .exe had worked perfectly fine in the previous Java, why must I update to a new one and not get the .exe to work anymore if I don't? I'm worried that it might damage something and I won't get to open the Shimeji anymore.
