Hello,

I want to create/update accounts for a subsection from around 10000 users. As an example, around 500 accounts. As there are a lot of other applications authenticate against the ad moving the users to another ou won't be an option.

How can I make this selection? Setting an attribute is okay but I've any idea to do this.

I’m waiting for a solution.

I want to add more scripts in active directory except the log off and log on scripts.Script I need to add can be able to deletes temp files.I unable to add it to group policy's.

Hello,

I want help to setup our environment. I’m trying those things to do:

  • Restructure Active Directory
  • Many domain controllers to prepare for Exchange 2007
  • Streamline replication from the previous Admin

Here are the details of the current environment:

  • 1 Domain
  • 9 Domain Controllers (Global Catalog Servers)
  • 9 Locations/sites

By using a T1 each location is connected to the Data Center. Each location has a Domain Controller

Is there any network to join to use this service? Can I set up my own one if there are few machines at my place?

Hello,

I want to know is there any way to bond multiple DSL lines?

I heard there're some ways to bond using MLPPP. Whereas it requires some support by ISP. Can I bond without the support of ISP? Can I use cable modem and DSL line together to get a faster speed/diversity?

I’m facing for a trouble when I try to run Server 2008 on my machine as its own IP, individual system, etc. I created a domain and applied it to the computer. It shows that it can’t find. System is up, running and my machine recognized on my network as a separate one.

I was unable to make my domain on all computers in my place. What’s the problem here?

Please give me a solution for this.

My Windows Server 2003 machine added as a node in my current network but not as a root. When I try to install Active Directory while working on my existing domain network, I forced to get out from the network.

My problem: The status of CDP locations status and Delta CRL location are showing as expired. I have no any idea how to renew or extend the expiration date of it.

My client apparently had this problem of people accidentally deleting some shared files on the server, so I had setup for him a security auditing feature which actually enabled tracing and logging of whatever activities done to the specified folders, sub-folders and files.

Now, my problem is since this will trace every activity done, the events log file size gets bigger and it becomes almost unmanageable. I was wondering, does anybody here know of any third party application that could help manage the logs, perhaps even just one that could retrieve only deletion activities so it's easier to trace?

Or if there's any suggestion and idea how else to manage this, it would be a great help too.

I am currently setting out to familiarize the Server environment and trying to get some small business clients to serve. So I would need to install a trial version copy of Server 2003 into my Virtual Machine to get this done and know the works. Can anybody help to advise where I could get the software?

I am just interested in a trial version as I do not wish to be violating and Microsoft license laws. I already tried all sorts of websites but haven't come across one that could allow me to download it. Would be very helpful if any one of you could direct me to one source.
