I will tell you at the beginning that I tried to be smart and thought of cleaning my dusty motherboard on myself without any manuals or technical helps. At first I thought that I will be able to resettle it but the situation worsened and now I am not able to switch on my motherboard using my power button. To be more concise, I have no idea where to fit the power SW, reset SW, HDD LED and other small connections. I think that they are the cause and if I am right please provide me with the solutions.

Hello everyone! I recently bought a computer with the motherboard MCP73T-AD in it. The problem is that it only has one CD/DVD ROM. I am thinking of adding another CD/DVD ROM but the motherboard only has two SATA plugs in this case. One of them is used by the hard drive and the other one is used by the DVD drive. What should I do? Please Help!

Last night after playing games on my PC, I began installing motherboard updates. Since the process takes time, I slept so that I could find them installed in the morning. On waking up, my PC just shows a black screen and the Keyboard and mouse are not even working. I can see that it is powered based on the lights on the cooling system but it does nothing else. Even cold booting does not help. PC specs are : Gskill 8GB RAM, AMD FX 8350 processor, GTX 960 GPU and MSI 970 ATX Mobo. Help me

I have heard that gigabyte are downgrading their motherboards by just doing a refurbishment of the previous ones, adding a little power and rebranding them They are not doing it without telling customers since they are labeled Rev 1.1, Rev 3.0 etc. Why do they have to do this? Is this the norm with other brands? Can a refurbished board have more power than a new one?

If I replace my current mother board which I think is about to die. Do I need to reinstall windows after I install the motherboard? I really do not want to back up everything on my computer and reinstall everything. But if I need to I guess I really do not have much choice.

I have tried everything and can not get any sound from my TA79GXBE BioStar Motherboard. I searched for answers online and can not find any reason why it quit. Or how fix it to get my sound back again.  Has anyone else heard of this or have any suggestions on fixing it?
