I would like to know how the windows based ftp client protects the data in transit against unauthorized access by malicious persons. I would also like to know the security mechanisms that the protocol implements in order to ensure the security of the data.

Hallo!
I have been trying to set up an inward and outward access of files using SAS on Microsoft Windows 7 environment but to no avail. What I would like to do is to be able to carry out the SAS upload to SFTP and possibly receive SAS data files as well. I have not been able to get precise information on how to carry this out yet. This is sickening since I have walked the web with little or no success. Could someone please tell me how I can do this?

I am using the Windows command line based FTP app for transferring files from my local host to the remote server. What command can I use to turn off interactive prompting during multiple file transfers? This should just be simple, but I am not able to figure it out since I tried using -n but this simply stops auto login during connection. Thanks big time for your assistance.

I see quite potential for next file transfer protocol or next FTP, but the way I see it, it is mostly written in Japanese language. Is there any web portal or link that redirects to a full English version of next FTP?
So that I would be able to understand it further without the trouble of translating each and every page into an understandable language.

Hallo!
I have been trying to login to an FTP account using my provided login credentials but they are not working for me. I have requested for password reset and this has successfully been accomplished. I was told that I need to use this syntax FTP login: and this has failed. I therefore installed FileZillar Client and I realized that I only have the username and password. What does the host and port numbers represent in this application?

Hi there,
I have set up a small network consisting of 5 computers tha will be primarily used for storing back up data. The computers need to have confined mac addresses, in other words, the mac address for these pc's need to be locked so as to not conflict with other devices residing on an external network where this small network will be connected as a sub network, can anyone guide me on how to lock mac adress in windows 7?

I am transferring files from my computer to my office web server. These are huge files, by the way. Do I need a big ftp file transfer software for me to do this? What is the most recommended software out there that is also as secure? I don’t have my own web site or web server and I don’t have anything installed that will support this transfer except for my own email
